SALEM, Mass. - A Delaware man charged with shooting and killing a Massachusetts teenager when he answered the door of his own home has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and been sentenced to up to 25 years in prison. Prosecutors say 22-year-old Kenneth Pitts, of Frankford, Delaware, also pleaded guilty Monday to armed assault with intent to rob and carrying a firearm without a license in connection with the June 2017 shooting of 18-year-old Bryce Finn at his Haverhill home. Prosecutors say Pitts and two other men traveled from Delaware to rob Finn of money, drugs and jewelry.

HACKENSACK, N.J. - Officials in New Jersey say a man who was wanted for allegedly setting an employee on fire has been found dead.Officials says Nicholas Pagano, 31, was a nurse who worked at the Hackensack University Medical Center. Police say Pagano died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Waterford Township early Tuesday morning. On Monday at approximately 5:15 a.m., police received a 911 call from the Hackensack University Medical Center with a report of an assault. Through an investigation, police learned that Pagano allegedly attacked a 54-year-old employee and burned her as well. He also struck the victim with a wrench.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say a young man was shot nearly a dozen times during a shootout Monday night in West Oak Lane. Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told reporters that at least 35 shots were fired on the 7700 block of Cedarbrook Avenue around 8:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a 24-year-old man shot 19 times in the arms, legs, back torso, and buttocks. Officers drove the victim to Temple University Hospital where he was placed in critical condition. Authorities are still unsure of how many gunmen were involved in the shootout.
