Andy Cohen slams 'discriminatory' rules preventing him from giving blood as a gay man
Andy Cohen is speaking out about discrimination he recently experienced since recovering from Covid-19, the illness brought on by the novel coronavirus. On the Real Housewives producer's 'Moment of Mazel' Thursday night, Cohen, 51, railed against what he called 'antiquated and discriminatory guidelines' that he encountered when trying to give blood as part of a program seeking plasma donations from those who've recovered from the disease. In spite of the fact that there is of course a heightened demand for plasma from coronavirus survivors at present, Cohen was still told he was 'ineligible to donate blood because I am a gay man.'
