QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. - A Queen Creek teenager is alive today - thanks to the work of first responders and gamers from half a world away.The 15-year-old boy had reportedly been gaming online with some friends from Germany when he started talking about committing suicide.A friend called for help, and Queen Creek police would eventually visit the teenager's home to check on him.Body camera video showed his parents, unaware of the situation, letting the officer into the home. They found the teen lying unconscious in his room but still breathing.Police discovered that the teen had overdosed on an unknown number of pills, and Officer Sean Lopez reacted by spraying Narcan into the boy's nose.The teenager was able to slowly regain consciousness, and he was taken away by ambulance for further treatment.Queen Creek Police Chief Randy Brice applauded the Officer Lopez's quick response that saved the teen's life."The fact the officer got there that fast even though parents weren't aware and provide that intervention - even the fire department showed up very quickly - but again seconds count, and we do believe it was a great save on his part," Brice said.All Queen Creek officers, detectives and field workers carry at least two containers of Narcan for these situations.If you or a loved one is feeling distressed, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. - Darien, the horse rescued after being abandoned on the streets of Philadelphia, is now temporarily living on a ranch in Quakertown. The horse, which was named after Darien Street where he was found, was discovered wandering the Hunting Park neighborhood in May. A horse abandoned in the streets of Philadelphia is now in search of a new home after being rescued by ACCT.  (ACCT Philadelphia)Concerned residents notified authorities and staff from Philadelphia's Animal Care & Control team responded. At the time of his rescue, Darien was underweight and in need of extra care. FOX 29's Jenn Frederick visited the Last Chance Ranch in Quakertown, where he has been for five days and will stay for about three months. Ranch staff says the horse was about 200 pounds underweight when he arrived and they are on a reseeding schedule to get him on the right track. They also say he needs to see the veterinarians and providers for necessary services, including, a farrier for hoof adjustments and an equine dental technician to examine his teeth. Over the next few months, the ranch staff will work with Darien to help him regain muscle and stamina to get him ready for possible adoption by the end of summer. The ranch has received numerous donations to help Darien's recovery, but the ranch also says it needs support for its other animals.Donations are being accepted online here and the ranch is actively looking for volunteers.

NEW YORK - Michael Avenatti was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison for cheating client Stormy Daniels, the porn actor who catapulted him to fame, of hundreds of thousands of dollars in book proceeds.The California lawyer, currently incarcerated, learned his fate in Manhattan federal court, where Judge Jesse M. Furman said the sentence will mean that Avenatti will spend another 2 1/2 years in prison on top of the 2 1/2 years he is already serving after another fraud conviction.The judge said Avenatti's crime against Daniels was made "out of desperation" when his law firm was struggling.

COVID-19 in Alberta has dipped below 1,000.Data provided Wednesday from between May 24 and May 30 shows the number of people in hospital with COVID-19 has dropped to 931. Of those people, 29 are being treated in intensive care.The last time there were fewer than 1,000 people in hospital with COVID-19 was on April 12, when 990 Albertans were hospitalized.Alberta Health reported 51 COVID-19 related deaths between May 24 and May 30.

LOS ANGELES - One gas station in downtown Los Angeles is charging upwards of $8 a gallon for regular gas. This comes as gas prices continue to rise across California and the U.S.  The average price in Los Angeles County rose to a record $6.172 on Tuesday. However, the Chevron station off Alameda in Downtown LA is charging over $8 a gallon. Many people in the area say the station is price gouging. In a statement released to FOX 11, Chevron said there are multiple factors that go into the price of a gallon of gasoline, "including some unique ones specific to California." The company added that the majority of its branded stations in California - including this one - are independently owned.

EL PASO, Texas - U.S. authorities said 70 missing children, ranging in ages from 10 to 17, were recently found after a three-week-long operation based in Texas.Many of the kids, who included victims of sex trafficking and physical and sexual abuse, were located in West Texas, according to authorities.
