Messages of thanks to key workers are being painted on roads across Bury. The markings intend to pay tribute to those working in health and social care, public transport, the emergency services and other workers who are keeping the borough going through the Covid-19 pandemic.
Council workers are printing the rainbow logos and ‘thank you’ messages at ten locations across the borough, near to where those important staff work.
Work has now started and should be completed on Friday. The locations are: Councillor Sharon Briggs, Bury Council's cabinet member for communities, said: “At times of crisis, we rely more than ever on our health services and public sector workers. “These people are true heroes, putting themselves at risk by being on
