A former casting producer for The Bachelor says that women wearing traditionally Black hairstyles like 'afros, braids, [or] locs' were considered 'too Black' to be contestants on the ABC dating show.Jazzy Collins called out the reality competition and its spin-offs for their lack of diversity via an open letter shared on social media Saturday.Collins, a Black woman, took the show to task, saying they 'only cast the token Black person, Asian person, or Latinx person to satisfy what you believe to be the needs of the viewers.'Her comments come after it was announced Matt James would be the next Bachelor, making him the first Black man to take the spot in the show's 25 seasons.
