The government is considering quarantining people who arrive into the UK once lockdown begins to ease. Grant Shapps, the Transport Secretary, admitted he was 'actively' examining the possibility but added he would need to ensure the UK is not 'importing' coronavirus once the infection rate here begins to come down.
The possibility of qurarantining arriving passengers emerged as Manchester Airport airport bosses revealed passengers and staff will have to wear gloves and cover their faces starting this week while temperature scanners will also be trialled to detect people who may have COVID-19.
Passengers could also be asked to make a 'health declaration' to confirm they are asymptomatic before entering the terminal - or even provide the
