The 2020 Tony Awards was scheduled to take place on June 7, but the show has been indefinitely postponed due to the pandemic, so CBS has decided to fill that slot with a Grease singalong special.

The network has announced that the broadcast television premiere of Grease Sing-A-Long will air as part of the Sunday Night Movies lineup on June 7.

Fans are not happy that Broadway will not be given a national spotlight during that time slot, especially since the community is hurting so hard right now.

It was just announced that Frozen, which has been a hit show on Broadway for two years, has officially closed and will not return when theaters are allowed to reopen.
