If you tuned into ITV or BBC tonight to not see a programme being broadcast, there is a perfectly reasonable explanation why.

Both networks paused their usual coverage at 8pm the join the round of applause for our carers and all other key workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

The BBC also paused their usual broadcasting from 8pm until 8:05pm wit Question Time starting slightly later The Clap For Our Carers movement began last week and is designed to pay tribute and say the biggest thank you to the NHS staff on the frontline amid the Covid-19 outbreak.
