A foul-mouthed thug who branded hard-working nurses "f***ing idiots" as they tried to help him during the coronavirus crisis has been jailed.
Kelvin Crossley also used the word "retard" to describe hospital staff as he was treated at the Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, in Grimsby.
The nurses, already facing "intolerable pressure" because of the Covid-19 outbreak, were left distressed by the aggressive antics, a court heard.
However, the 23-year-old from Scunthorpe, claimed his loss of temper was due to being "slammed" to the floor at a police custody suite and having a tooth knocked out there and "took it out" on the nurses, reports Grimsby Live.
