Scotland within the last 24 hours, official figures show.Data has been published this afternoon by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland as part of the national COVID-19 daily briefing.NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde has reported 169 of the new cases.Meanwhile, there have been 65 in the NHS Lothian health board area and 38 from NHS Lanarkshire.According to Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Glasgow City has the highest infection rate in the country – at 126.7 as of Friday, May 21.The second-highest is East Renfrewshire which has a rate of 108.9 while Clackmannanshire (104.8) has the third-highest rate.Locally, South Ayrshire's infection rate stands at 9.8 with East Ayrshire's at 23.8.
