Trump says unemployment benefits to roll out ‘rapidly’ after executive orders, won’t give date

U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order to extend the unemployment bonus, which would drop from US$600 to US$400 a week.

He said the money would roll out to Americans “rapidly” but would not give a specific date despite the previous stimulus bonus expiring recently.

Asked about the decision to lower the bonus, Trump denied it would be a “hardship” for families, saying this is the money Americans wanted, which Democrats “obstructed.”.
