Twelve fined for flouting coronavirus lockdown laws with pub lock-in

A defiant group of 12 were slapped with fines after flouting lockdown laws to meet up at a Tullibody pub.Police swooped on the Abercromby Arms on Stirling Road on Saturday night and dispersed a dozen people from the premises.A member of the public notified police of the get-together and they discovered a woman and 11 men in the pub and each of them were handed on-the-spot fines.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7pm on Saturday, April 25, we received a report of people gathered within a premises on Stirling Road, Tullibody.

Officers attended and 11 men and one woman were issued with fixed penalty notices under the Coronavirus Act 2020.”The Observer contacted the Abercromby Arms for comment but they did not respond at the time of
