Sir Elton Hercules John CH CBE (born Reginald Kenneth Dwight; 25 March 1947) is an English singer, songwriter, pianist, and composer. He has worked with lyricist Bernie Taupin since 1967; they have collaborated on more than 30 albums. John has sold more than 300 million records, making him one of the best-selling music artists. He has more than fifty Top 40 hits in the UK Singles Chart and US Billboard Hot 100, including seven numbers ones in the UK and nine in the US, as well as seven consecutive number-one albums in the US.

The World Health organisation, Global Citizens and Lady Gaga organised the One World: Together at Home gig which took place all around the world over the weekend.
The online concert showed some of the biggest stars including Celine Dion, Elton John, Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones and Beyonce.
The concert was taking place in order to raise funds for the COVID-relief. Global Citizens later announced that $127.9m (€118m) had been raised for the cause which is affecting every country around the globe.
On Saturday night, the six-hour broadcast began online with musicians performing their music and a star-studded list of celebrities telling their stories and thanking all the frontline workers around the world.
