Dana White says he’s sorting a private island so UFC can continue during the coronavirus crisis. The sporting calendar has been completely derailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But White is determined for UFC 249 to go ahead on 18 April at an undisclosed location. "As of April 18, the UFC is back up and running," he told TMZ. "We're going to make sure that athletes, referees, my production people, that everybody there is going to be healthy before, during and after the fights.” Countries across the globe have implemented stringent restrictions.
But White’s lofty plans include jetting in fighters to his island who would not be able to get into the US. Khabib Nurmagomedov was set to take on Tony Ferguson in New York at UFC 249.
