The UK is set for another week of warm weather as Brits continue to bask in the warmest April for centuries. Forecasters say that the mercury will hit 24C in parts of the UK on Thursday and Friday.
This month is now expected to be the hottest April since records began 361 years ago in 1659. As the nation is urged to remain at home during the coronavirus lockdown, the hot weather is likely to be all the more tantalising.
Parts of the UK this week are expected to be warmer than many European holiday destinations including Ibiza (20C) and the Greek island of Crete (15C).
London and the South East will enjoy the warmest weather on Monday afternoon, while parts of Cornwall will also reach highs of 16C.
