Strictly Come Dancing bosses are ready to break the bank to land Radio 1 DJ Maya Jama for this year’s contest. Talent scouts think Maya, 25 – ex of rap star Stormzy – would inject some glamour to the show, back on BBC1 in September.
A source said: “Maya ticks every box. She is young, beautiful, popular, bright, talented and has a big social media following. "To get her this year would be a real coup.
They have a six-figure fee on the table.” Budding actress Maya is also on ITV’s hip-hop based panel show Don’t Hate the Playaz.
