Brits are being reminded to heed Government instructions and avoid the temptation to visit beaches and parks on Easter Sunday as the warm weather continues.

The mercury could get as high as 24C today, according to Met Office forecasts. Warm sunny spells are predicted across most of England and Wales, with the south of the country set to get the best weather.

Temperatures are expected to peak at a balmy 24.8C in London. However, the Easter heatwave is expected to give way to cloud and rain in the afternoon, with thunderstorms forecast in parts of the country.
