Britain is in for a bumpy ride over the next few days with the Met Office warning of some "very rough" weather, including heavy rain and blustery winds.
Forecaster Aidan McGivern said "showers could strike anywhere" today as temperatures drop by a couple of degrees across the country.
The high pressure which had allowed for warm air and clearer skies at the end of May has been replaced by new weather fronts and low pressure.
In the north, many will struggle to break into the teens - well below average for June - and while it will be cooler in the south it is to remain drier for now.
