The Met Office has predicted heavy rain and plummeting temperatures will blight Britain in May – just as it “eases out of the coronavirus lockdown”.
The recent mini-heatwaves have roasted the locked down nation with 25C, glorious sunshine and stunning blue skies in recent days and weeks.
And with the nation shut down amid the Covid-19 crisis, Brits have only been able to take in the sizzling conditions during their daily exercises.
But the Met Office has now updated its long-range forecast for May – and in typical British weather fashion, bad weather is now due around the same time the UK is reportedly set to ease restrictions.
