Liverpool are reportedly putting their transfer business on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Reds were plotting a summer move for Timo Werner to bolster their attacking options but the Mirror report that deal is now off the cards.
It leaves manager Jurgen Klopp faced with the prospect of being unable to refresh his squad and add new competition for attacking trio Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Whilst Divock Origi has continued to make an impact off the bench, he has flattered to deceive when stepping into the starting line-up on occasions with Klopp eyeing another top class option via Werner.
