The US would lose in an all-out war with China with its military assets now under threat, defence sources have warned. As President Donald Trump ratchets up tensions with his Chinese counterparts over the global coronavirus pandemic, Pentagon war games have shown the world's great superpower is vulnerable to the East Asian giant.
Sources close to the analysis claim the US would be powerless to prevent its ally Taiwan from being invaded by Chinese troops.
And its military base on the island of Guam, east of Taiwan, could now be at risk. This summer, the Pentagon is due to release a report into China's military power, and US defence officials told The Times it would show that the US would suffer "capital losses" and was vulnerable to Chinese
