Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow has been closed following a coronavirus outbreak. A number of workers and patients have been struck down with Covid-19.

NHS GGC says staff are working 'extremely' hard to minimise the spread of the virus. The ward is temporarily shut to new admissions.All those affected have been contract traced, screened and are self isolating, according to NHS bosses.All patients showing no symptoms are being cared for separately from the confirmed cases.A spokesperson for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said: "We have a number of positive cases in a ward at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and staff are working extremely hard to ensure the appropriate measures have been implemented to minimise the spread.
