The man behind a string of Manchester’s most popular venues says pubs and restaurants won't survive lockdown unless they quickly get back to their busy best.
Lyndon Higginson runs 13 venues across Manchester, including Crazy Pedro’s, Cane & Grain and The Liars Club. He has previously warned that increased rents and rates would lead to £10 pints if owners were to pass the costs on to customers.
And though Lyndon says that particular price tag will never become a reality at his venues, he says public support is the only way they will survive after lockdown.
All but one of Lyndon’s 13 Manchester venues are currently closed with staff furloughed. The director opened up Crazy Pedro’s, on Bridge Street, for takeaway last week.
