The housing market is facing a crisis over the next 12 months with banks withdrawing mortgages and the Government suspending viewings during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Government has effectively frozen the sector, calling for a pause on all transactions except those already in the final stages.

Face-to-face viewings have also been put on hold as part of preventative measures to help slow the spread of the fast-spreading illness.

But one woman has found an alternative way to sell without a single viewing. Teresa Baker, 71, of Wickford, Essex, had the challenge of selling her parent’s 60-year-old, unrenovated and long-term empty home in the midst of a shut-down housing market.
