Tenants are still facing illegal eviction despite emergency protection during the coronavirus emergency, a homelessness charity warned.Extra cover was brought in by the Scottish Government last month, blocking evictions for up to six months.However, Shelter Scotland director Alison Watson told the Daily Record how anxious householders are turning to the charity for help.She raised concern as part of wider fears for personal finances, rent arrears and mortgage payments building up while much of the country is on pause in a public health crisis.Watson said: “There could be a huge spike in homelessness after lockdown measures are released.
