Late last month, restaurant business leaders met with Donald Trump about steps the food service industry needed to take in order to bounce back from the devastating and long-lasting coronavirus pandemic.
Among those who met with Trump personally on the topic, according to Business Insider, was James Bodenstedt, the CEO of a company called Muy Co., which operates hundreds of franchises of Wendy’s, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut all over the country. At the time, Trump critics rolled their eyes at the business roundtable — just another backroom “cronyism” situation with the President’s rich, old white buddies there to help make him look good, according to organizations like Citizens for
