We're fast approaching Easter Bank Holiday, which is bound to confuse most over what will stay open under the lockdown. While supermarkets will remain open, you may be worried when it comes to needing medical help this long weekend for either yourself or a relative.
In light of the pandemic, GP surgeries will in fact stay open on Friday, April 10 and Monday, April 13. They would usually close for the holiday, but immediate changes have been made to GP contracts so they can continue to work.
In a letter to GPs and Commissioners on March 27, NHS England said: "Practices and the wider NHS will continue to be under ever-increasing pressure over the coming weeks, including through Easter (10 and 13 April) and, looking forward, to May bank
