Millions of people around the country once again showed their support for our frontline heroes during tonight’s Clap for our Carers.
Residents and emergency services took part in a fifth weekly round of applause for those battling the Covid-19 pandemic. Prince Charles and his wife Camilla joined the nation by clapping outside the front door of their Scottish home at Birkhall in Aberdeenshire.
A spokesman for the couple said that they wanted to show their “continued appreciation for NHS staff and other key workers on the front line”.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who is still recuperating from the illness at Chequers, also joined in with the clap with pregnant fiancee Carrie Symonds.
