Britain's oldest department store could be on the verge of disappearing from the high street completely, after already closing dozens of stores last year.
Debenhams has this week confirmed it has filed a notice of intent to appoint administrators, affecting around 22,000 workers.
The move from the 242-year-old retailer is designed to shield the company from legal claims from creditors during the period of the coronavirus outbreak.
