Saint-Etienne boss Claude Puel believes William Saliba will be a success at Arsenal and “is ready” to go straight into the Gunners first team.

Saliba was signed by Arsenal last summer but loaned back to Saint-Etienne, where he impressed before the coronavirus pandemic ended the French season prematurely.

Saliba, 19, can return to Arsenal now though will not be permitted to play for the Gunners should the current Premier League season resume.
