Budget airline Wizz has said it will begin to restart flights from London’s Luton airport on Friday. Wizz Air is one of the first European carriers to begin to restore services which were grounded during the coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement on Saturday, the airline said cabin crew would wear masks and gloves throughout flights from May 1. Passengers would also be given sanitising wipes throughout the flight to combat the spread of infection.
Each aircraft would then be disinfected overnight, it added, to ensure public health and safety. Wizz Air said flights to several destinations across Europe would resume, including Romania, Lisbon in Portugal and Tenerife in Spain.
