A mum had part of her finger chopped off in a botched machete attack in her family home in Bishopbriggs.The 43-year-old woman was in her house with her young son, another child and her 72-year-old mother, when a man broke into the property at 10.30pm on Friday night.The thug was armed with a machete and demanded cash from the family.The victim, who does not want to be named, lost the top of her finger in the struggle.The armed thief then fled the scene.He has been described as in his late twenties to early thirties, with light brown shaved hair.
