Wuhan has already screened more than half of its population of 11 million people including doing half a million coronavirus tests in a single day this week.
The city in China, which was the Covid-19 epicentre, carried out a staggering 467,847 nucleic acid tests on Monday, according to figures released by the Wuhan Health Commission.
In the report, 15 new asymptomatic cases were found. The testing figure was more than the 335,887 conducted a day earlier as part of the health authority’s ambitious campaign to test every single one of its residents by 24th May.
