X Factor star Lucy Spraggan has opened up about overhauling her ‘incredibly unhealthy’ lifestyle by cutting down on alcohol and fatty foods.

The singer-songwriter, 28, has kept her fans up to date with her fitness journey on social media as she lost three stone by adopting healthier eating habits and developing a love of exercise.

She explained to Closer: ‘My lifestyle before was incredibly unhealthy – the amount I drank, the amount I ate and the amount I celebrated. ‘I was constantly snacking on biscuits and crisps.

I struggled to find an off-switch for food and alcohol and binged on both. ‘I’d eat out most evenings – pizza or steak and chips with dessert and two glasses of wine or two beers.’While the odd treat or takeaway here or there.
