Young people across Greater Manchester have found themselves trapped in their homes as the cost of living crisis continues, a report has found.
The study found that nearly a quarter (24 percent) of 11 to 18 year olds in the North West have completely stopped seeing their friends and taking part in sports since the pandemic.
HideOut Youth Zone is a local youth charity which opened in September 2020 they provide youth clubs for thousands of young people aged eight to 19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs. I was surrounded by people who didn’t have dreams and didn’t understand why the quiet boy was writing lyrics. “That knocked my confidence.” He said,” I didn’t study music at school because it was about learning instruments rather than songwriting. “That all changed when I walked into the Youth Zone two years ago.
