There are 13 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 to report in the community today. There are no new cases to report in managed isolation.

Twelve of the 13 new cases are linked to previous cases in the cluster, and one remains under investigation but is believed to be linked to the same cluster.

There are 98 people linked to the cluster who have been moved into the Auckland quarantine facility, that includes 44 people who have tested positive and their household contacts.

There are six people receiving hospital-level care for COVID-19, two in Auckland City Hospital, and four in Middlemore. The 13 new confirmed cases to report today bring our total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 to 1,293 which is the number we report to the World

COVID-19 cases reported on Manitoba Hutterite colonies continue to climb — along with fears of both the virus and the stigma that can come with it — community members are being encouraged to respond to any discrimination met while off the colony with grace.On Monday, Manitoba health reported 49 new cases of novel coronavirus across the province and health officials said many are linked to an increase in targeted testing on a few Hutterite colonies in different regions across the province.Kenny Wollmann, who sits on the Hutterian Safety Council’s COVID-19 task force, told Global News said Hutterite communities are making adjustments to their daily life and routines due to the spike in cases, and that includes how they deal with the attitudes

COVID-19 closures they have been restricted to the Repsol Sport Centre since July.That meant around half of their 1000 swimmers have been left high and dry.“There are only so many places you can go so the city being challenged with a number of facilities they a) have, and b) are going to be able to open for the competitive swimming community, it is going to be a real challenge,” said club manager Jasen Pratt.He said while competitive swimmers were able to continue with their program at Repsol Sport Centre, a program for novice swimmers and a camp had to be cancelled over the summer.
