ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating a deadly crashing Sunday morning involving a van that was carrying 10 people when it crashed on Interstate 95 in Volusia County.

Troopers said the passenger van crashed and overturned near Ormond Beach around 5:30 a.m. At least two people were killed in the wreck including a child and one adult, the FHP said.

Suspect surrenders after hours long standoff at West Philadelphia home, police say

PHILADELPHIA - No one was injured after a gunman opened fire on a Philadelphia police officer during a shootout Wednesday afternoon in Germantown.Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp told reporters that two plainclothes officers in an unmarked car were patrolling the 4800 block of Keyser Street around 2 p.m. when they came upon a shootout between a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old.
