Hyderabad: The number of coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Telangana continued to shoot up, as 40 people were found to be infected with the virus on Tuesday, taking the total to 404 in the state.
Eleven positive cases were reported in the neighbouring state of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday, with the state’s tally now at 314.
The Hyderabad police also booked six Malaysian nationals under various acts for not reporting on their whereabouts (and for quarantine), and were instead found hiding in a mosque.
In Telangana, so far, out of the total 404 people who have been infected with Covid-19, 348 people are currently undergoing treatment, while 45 people have been discharged (after recovery) and 11 others have died due to the virus.
