A popular A&E nurse who treated patients with coronavirus is fighting for her life after contracting the killer bug herself.
NHS colleagues of brave Cindy Sulit, from Newport, are working round the clock to keep her stable on breathing support after she went into a coma.
The nurse, aged 45, had begun self-isolating after developing symptoms while doing agency shifts at Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny, reports Wales Online.
Her partner Marjorie Chua, also became unwell, before Cindy took a turn for the worse and needed to be taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital.
