Twenty-five new coronavirus positive cases were reported from Agra, taking the total tally to 45 in the district, informed Agra District Magistrate Prabhu N Singh today.

The increasing Covid-19 cases in Agra, mostly linked to the March Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi.

Reports on more samples sent for testing are expected by the evening. District authorities said that so far they have quarantined around 120 Tablighis.

The state government has directed the local police to tighten the lockdown and carry out extensive sanitisation and screening operations.

PHILADELPHIA - No one was injured after a gunman opened fire on a Philadelphia police officer during a shootout Wednesday afternoon in Germantown.Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp told reporters that two plainclothes officers in an unmarked car were patrolling the 4800 block of Keyser Street around 2 p.m. when they came upon a shootout between a 23-year-old and a 20-year-old.
