Former Rangers chairman Alastair Johnston claims declaring Celtic champions would forever require an "asterisk". Johnston has suggested he believes the Parkhead side would only be able to claim "eight and a half in a row" if the SPFL pull the plug on the Premiership season.

Neil Lennon's side were firmly on course to secure a ninth successive title before coronavirus forced Scottish football into shutdown, sitting a massive 13 points clear of Rangers with over two-thirds of the campaign played.But the 71-year-old accountant insists the achievement would be undermined if the the remaining fixtures are not fulfilled.
