Aldi’s new rosé wine is bound to appeal to sweet-toothed shoppers. The supermarket is selling plonk that tastes just like retro fruit salad chews.
Its Pedro Luis Monastrell Rosé os said to have a fruity and peppery flavour. The product description reads: “A fresh dry rosé with hints of cherry fruit and a lovely peppery undertone from the Monastrell grape.” These notes are bound to go nicely in cocktails.
And according to the Aldi website, they’re “delicious on their own or with light meats and fish” too. The dry rosé wine comes in 75cl bottles, which retail for £5.99.
And while they may taste like sweets, they’re for adults only. The tipple has an ABV of 12.5%, so you should definitely drink it in moderation.
