Not only should vulnerable children now be vaccinated, but all children should be offered a jab, according to public health expert Dr Gabriel Scally.
Speaking on RTÉ's Today with Claire Byrne, Dr Scally said he is worried that there is a danger of children being "neglected" at this stage of the pandemic. "We should be using it in vulnerable people, whatever the ages.
Some of the vaccines have been approved by European Medicines Agency and in the UK. And my view is not just vulnerable children, of course, they should be vaccinated first, but all children should be vaccinated," he said.
