The public has been urged to wear face coverings in 'most public venues' as early as Friday, December 10. In new measures introduced by the Prime Minister on Wednesday evening, December 8, people across the country were told that tougher face mask rules would be introduced.

Visitors to post offices, pharmacies, banks and other high street retailers are also expected to wear a mask unless exempt. Those who refuse to wear masks could be fined up to £6,400.
