Amanda Abbington reportedly 'demanded' backstage footage from her time on Strictly Come Dancing after she was diagnosed with PTSD.

The 51-year-old actress, who was partnered with Giovanni Pernice, quit the BBC show suddenly claiming it was due to personal reasons, but has since revealed that she has been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The pair reportedly had backstage clashes and now she is said to be keen to review recordings after taking legal actions. The Sun have reported, the BBC have received a request for the footage as a data subject request.Speaking to the publication, a source said: "There is a feeling that the recordings will lift the lid on what really goes on behind the scenes on Strictly.

They added that Giovanni could be "incredibly full-on" as he is a "perfectionist".The Mirror has reached out to the BBC and Amanda's reps for comment.A friend of the actress reportedly told the publication that she had been left "broken and saddened" by the experience and has "needed therapy and was left in shock by the behaviour she was exposed to".
