Princess of Wales Kate Middleton is expected to be absent from a number of big events after receiving abdominal surgery. Earlier this week, on Wednesday, 17 January, the Palace revealed that the 42-year-old was at The London Clinic hospital after receiving successful surgery.The Royal mother, who shares Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis with heir to the throne William, is expected to remain in hospital for ten to 14 days.
After that, it has been revealed that she will be out of action until after Easter and step down from royal duties while she recovers for three months at home.The Princess of Wales was last seen in public 23 days ago on Christmas Day when she walked to church with the rest of the royal family.
Also in December, the princess was busy hosting her annual carol concert at Westminster Abbey. Given the news, it appears that she will likely be absent from several events coming up that are typically on her calendar.
