Hollywood star Amber Heard has opened up about a tough year coping with the pandemic and fighting a high-profile legal battle, saying: “Nothing could have prepared me for 2020”.

The actress, 34, was at the centre of a High Court showdown with ex-husband Johnny Depp which ended with a judge branding him a “wife-beater”.

When the coronavirus pandemic struck in March, Heard was filming an adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand which charts the aftermath of a global flu pandemic which kills 99 per cent of the population.  "We stopped filming at the end of March, luckily it was at the end of filming, but still I had to go do reshoots later when things started to open back up again”, she said.
