Andy Burnham is set to give evidence at the Covid inquiry in London today (November 27). The Greater Manchester mayor is expected to appear at the public hearing where he will have a chance to share his views on how the government handled the Covid pandemic.

Mr Burnham is scheduled to speak after London mayor Sadiq Khan who is first on the agenda with proceedings set to start at 10.30am.

Liverpool City Region mayor Steve Rotheram is also due to appear at the same hearing in the afternoon session which starts at 2pm.

This is day 26 of the second part of the Covid inquiry which focuses on decision-making and political governance in the pandemic.
