MSP Angela Constance has backed a new campaign aimed at preventing avoidable accidents in the home to ease pressure on the NHS during the Covid-19 outbreak.The new campaign – “Accident Free, Avoid A&E” – led by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), highlights that more accidents happen in the home than anywhere else.The central message emphasises the need to reduce preventable accidents and help frontline health services – Prevent accidents, Protect your family, Help the NHS.RoSPA hopes to draw attention to some common dangers in the home.
For example, trampolines are one of the most frequent causes of A&E attendances - posing a particular risk to children.The MSP for Almond Valley said:“The most important thing we can
