Cyclone Amphan, which made landfall in India last week, has caused massive damage in the states of Odisha and West Bengal and left many dead.

According to the West Bengal government, the impact of Amphan could be worse than the covid-19 pandemic, and damages in the state from the cyclone alone could amount to around ₹1 trillion.
